Namma Nada okkoota is an umbrella body designed & dedicated for bringing all like minded & peace loving people of DK & Udupi district under one roof.
Our purpose is to fight the backwardness of our society and to bring it to the mainstream by reducing unemployment through conducting awareness seminars, promoting self employment, supporting higher education amongst our youth & empowering our men and women through personality development training programs.
To help the poor & deprived sections of our society through charitable activities in health & nourishment.
To develop communal harmony amongst all faiths through periodical exchange of programs, build peace, support humanity, social justice, happiness and prosperity to our Nation.

VISION
Former President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam once said : “A power recognizes only another power”. It is obvious that in order to be recognized and respected in the society, our community needs to be powerful. A community can be powerful only when its members are empowered. Therefore, the vision of Namma Nada Okkoota is: “Making our community strong through empowering its individual members”.
MISSION
Namma Nada Okkoota is founded on the principle of “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for his life time”.

To achieve the vision of NNO, the mission NNO will carry out is to enable the community members to stand on their own feet and become self reliant. NNO will be a platform to connect all like minded people together to create: ONE VOICE FOR COMMON PROBLEMS OF THE COMMUNITY
The mission will include:

NNO EDP -Education Development Program: NNO understands that at the core of our all problems is lack enough qualitative education. NNO plans to set up Education development centres in each taluk which will promote education by spreading awareness, conducting motivational programs, visiting low performing schools, connecting parents to teachers, encouraging students to take up professional courses, etc. NNO has realized that a teacher can make a big difference in any community development and hence NNO will encourage students to enter B.Ed courses & become teachers. NNO will strive to produce one teacher in every village.
Each teacher will train students for professional courses and NNO will connect sponsors to students to join professional courses. -
NNO SDK -Skill Development Kendra: NNO has collaborated with MIA SDK to give poor women the opportunity to earn from home by making a few home made products such as organic soaps.

NNO STC Short Term Courses-NNO will strive to provide short term job oriented courses like electrician, tailoring, electronic technician, etc. NNO has set up an association with Meritude Skill Development Pvt Ltd in this regard. The focus here is the school drop out students who are looking for jobs. NNO will support to train such students and provide assistance in job placements.

NIF – NNO Investors Forum- here NNO will explore ideas to form joint venture businesses so that community members can pool their small investments together and set up larger business enterprises. NNO is planning to buy large agricultural land for farming and cultivation. With profession consultancy from lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Agricultural experts, NNO will form separate Limited Liability Partnerships or Farmers Producer Organization.
